London Volcano in Oxford

We have had a brilliant week sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm about volcanoes with school groups visiting the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Thank you to everyone who has come by, and to all of the volunteers and staff who have helped out. The fun continues next week – with ‘family friendly’ activities both on the museum lawn, and indoors, from 1-4 pm on Wednesday 28th October, Thursday 29th October and Friday 30th October. There will be a pyrotechnic finale at 6 pm on Friday 30th – it’s all free, and open to all!

We are using some of our activities to collect data – this is from our ‘when will the party popper pop?’ experiment: come and join in!

Whether you love volcanoes or Top Trumps, or just want to get your hands on some magical obsidian, we may well have something for you to enjoy next week!
